Hi, my name is Cassie! As a systemically trained therapist, I work with Couples, Families, and Individuals with ages ranging from early adolescence through to adulthood. My areas of expertise include Trauma, ADHD, ASD, Couples and Family therapy. I offer both In person and Telehealth therapy. I am a clinical forensic psychologist with over 35 years of experience working the matters that relate to psychology and the law. This includes assessments, reports, and testimony in court as well as family therapy for family reunification and other matters. I have a doctorate in counseling and educational psychology and a year of post-doctoral training in family therapy. I have written a book about healing from childhood trauma. I have been licensed in 5 states, most recently in Colorado.
I have 12+ years of clinical experience with outpatient/inpatient clients, crisis work, and supervising other therapists. Working with adults clients around trauma, self-exploration, life transitions, chronic illness, spiritual or existential issues, and grief/loss. I’m Anushka Fernando, LPC, licensed in Wisconsin, Texas, and Colorado. I help individuals and couples with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns, offering both online therapy and in-person sessions. My approach combines evidence-based strategies with mindfulness and compassion. I have a special passion for supporting immigrants and first-generation clients in balancing cultural values with personal growth.
My practice combines somatic therapy, attachment theory, and contemplative psychotherapy. I specialize in relationship therapy, sexual trauma healing, and existential crisis. I enjoy working with artists, athletes, activists, and spiritual seekers. I am affirmative of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folx, psychedelic medicine, sex work, and spirituality of all backgrounds. My master's degree is in Clinical Mental Health with a concentration in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University.
