Hello! Thank you for your interest. My name is Chandra and I specialize in play therapy for children, parenting support, and relationship based therapy for adults. Welcome to my practice!
My inspiration as a counselor is to help people connect with their own wisdom and to learn how gentle, open, respectful curiosity can help them manage stress and create more meaning and authentic relationships with themselves, their loved ones, and others.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, I have a masters in counseling psychology, specialized training in play therapy, and further training in mindfulness, managing states of stress, parenting, and child development.
All referrals are welcome. My approach to therapy is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Together we can identify the obstacles that you may be facing to navigate the path towards a more fulfilling life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. My practice is based in Philadelphia and offer my services to residents across the state of Pennsylvania.
I am not the expert on your life; you are. I won't tell you what to do; you decide your path. I prioritize helping my client discover the needs and desires that were always with them while also working to heal the pain that is hindering their ability to live the life they want. In sessions with me, you can expect that I will gently challenge negative thoughts and self-talk. I will encourage but never push you to seek out and explore changes that will improve your life. I will also inform your journey with the knowledge of psychology that I have acquired to help you better understand how your mind works and how to appreciate its unique attributes. Together, we will set goals personalized to you. This is your therapy and it is essential that your therapy is working for you.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 17 years of experience as a psychotherapist. My background includes more than a decade working in university counseling centers, where I supported undergraduate and graduate students. Now in private practice in Denver, I bring that same depth of experience to a wider range of adults.
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer approaches that incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, EMDR, and psychedelic-assisted therapy (including ketamine). I work with clients navigating stress, perfectionism, ADHD, trauma, difficulties with self-worth and shame, and major life changes, as well as those seeking deeper self-understanding and growth.
Feeling stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by past experiences? Whether you're struggling with relationships, self-worth, or navigating grief and loss, therapy can be a powerful space for healing and growth. I specialize in helping individuals work through attachment wounds, life transitions, and the impact of trauma. My approach is collaborative, insight-driven, and action-oriented, so you can not only understand your patterns but also take meaningful steps toward change.
One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. We all face challenges and deal with roadblocks, and sometimes these stressors make it challenging to start knowing who you are and how to find your purpose.
Have you been feeling shut down, invalidated, or numb in life? Having difficulty navigating a big life transition? Maybe you've lost someone important to you recently and you're feeling exhausted from the heaviness of grief. My clients and I work together to determine barriers to wellness, and how to make changes in ways that are meaningful and empowering. I have developed a passion for working with people with ADHD, particularly adult individuals assigned female at birth, and have ADHD myself.
