Hello, and welcome. My name is Cynthia Oputa, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. I believe that effective treatment begins with truly listening, building trust, and partnering with you to support your mental and emotional well-being.
I have a strong clinical background in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan. My training allows me to integrate both psychotherapy and medication management, and I take a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care. I believe that combining therapeutic support with appropriate medication—when needed—offers a more holistic and sustainable path to healing.
My areas of interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and stress-related concerns. I work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that respect personal values, goals, and lived experiences. I also encourage education and shared decision-making, empowering clients to feel informed and confident about their care.
Above all, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and respected. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, I am committed to walking alongside you with empathy, professionalism, and care.
I have been working in the mental health field with children and adults for 18 years, believing that it is her calling in life and striving to make the counseling experience positive, enriching, and successful. Nisa has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities that have experienced family dysfunction, trauma, abuse, sudden loss, and high anxiety.
Welcome! I'm glad you've taken this step to consider working with me. I'm here to listen without judgment and do my best to help you with your concerns. Whatever it is you're going through, I'm ready to use my knowledge and experience to support you every step of the way. Thank you!
