I am passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strengths. My approach is to create an authentic and individual relationship with my clients so they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and hopes without judgment.
I have worked with a wide variety of populations and settings from non-profit agencies like group homes in foster care and Women's Advocacy shelters to outpatient settings, within a hospital. I have worked over the years with clients who are or who have experienced trauma, abuse, domestic violence, family violence, Many of my clients are successful working through the stress of new life adjustments to graduation, college, post partum and relationships.
Have you ever felt misunderstood, overlooked, or like your voice just wasn’t being heard? I want you to know — I see you. I’ve been there. And you do not have to figure this out alone.
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and a BIPOC clinician, as well as a trauma, sexual assault, and suicide attempt survivor, I show up with empathy, lived experience, and a nonjudgmental presence. I know what it feels like to fight your way back to yourself. I also know healing is possible.
If you’re ready to explore your story, reclaim your voice, and learn how to show up for yourself with more compassion — I will walk that journey with you. One step, one day, and one breath at a time. You deserve to be seen. You deserve to be heard. And you deserve to be whole.
Originally from Miami, my master’s in Clinical Psychology was a product of my understanding of how mental health can impact a person or family. These experiences shaped my career, allowing me to provide help to clients navigating difficult obstacles while implementing skills to allow them to live a happy and thriving life. I welcome challenges and don’t scare easily, having been well-versed in trauma work, and I'm here to help clients reach their goals and live better for themselves and the people they love. This world is a world of uncertainty; the only thing that is constant is change. When someone wants to change or embrace the changes they are going through, I am here to help them tackle the changes head-on.
Starting my practice in a community setting, I've worked with children, adolescents, and families across the mental health spectrum. I understand how trauma and abuse can impact a person’s livelihood, and I'm passionate about working with individuals who struggle with anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, and recovery. I think that therapy should be a relationship based on trust and honesty, because change is hard. It can often bring about unwanted or negative feelings, and it's important that you have someone to support you and help to uplift you throughout the changes you are going through.
Hi! I'm so glad you found your way here. Therapy is often the first step to becoming the best version of ourselves! Depending on where you are my approach is to help you define the life you want, set goals and support your efforts through talk therapy. Sometimes that means unpacking past trauma, other times it means focusing on the here and now! Together we will decide what's best based on where you are currently and where you'd like to see yourself in 30, 60, 90 days and beyond!
