Nice to meet you!
As a Mental Health Counselor I am deeply passionate about helping individuals heal, grow, and reach their full potential. My work is fueled by my strong belief that everyone has the capacity to create change in their lives. My specialties are:
· Anxiety
· Depression
· Addiction & recovery
· Stress Management
· Trauma and PTSD
· Faith based (Christian) counseling
I'm a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Registered Drama Therapist, and Ph.D. in Organizational Development. My personal and professional work in social and racial justice informs my commitment to addressing the impact of trauma among those who identify as caregivers, protectors and fighters.
Amanda Osman completed her training in mental health counseling at Holliswood Hospital and at the New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center. Her experience includes working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Amanda works with adolescents 14 years old and up, adults, and families to help them find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their coping skills. Amanda can help you reduce anxious/depressed symptoms, help you find yourself and process negative emotions that are keeping you feeling trapped.
With a little help and support you can find your way to feeling a lot better than you do now. You can find hope and learn more about yourself as a person. Amanda is providing tele-health services for new and existing clients. If you would like to know more and you would like to find out if Amanda is the right therapist for you, call to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation!
I believe that the therapy relationship has the ability to provide healing, growth and change. Finding a therapist who helps you feel safe, supported and challenged is central to this process. My style is warm and curious as well as direct and challenging.
I provide care for various forms of trauma, in particular complex intergenerational and racial wounds and their somatic impacts. Depression, anxiety and family conflict concerns are a few other areas I also specialize in. I help folx on the margins of dominant cultures navigate the intersectionality of identity.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
