Hello! I'm Maggie, I've been practicing for 11 years and hope to help you with any therapeutic needs. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, or maybe just that very human feeling of "being stuck." I believe in a client centered approach to wellness, providing a variety of talk therapy modalities and other specialties including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ketamine and other Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.
I bring warmth, humor, and clear guidance to therapy. Cognitive techniques help uncover how thoughts shape emotions and actions, while mindfulness fosters calm and focus. We’ll also explore your values to guide our work. Humor keeps things light, and directness ensures we stay on track. Together, we’ll work toward lasting growth and confidence.I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Wake Forest University.

It’s a privilege to walk alongside you as you discover the courage & strength within.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with over 25 years of experience working in schools as a school psychologist. I have been married for 30 years and have three adult sons.
I went to Naropa University in Boulder, CO, receiving my masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology. So, I see psychological growth through a Buddhist lens. It’s possible to summarize that view as the movement toward authenticity, growing through versions of self that no longer feel genuine. In Buddhism that movement often starts with samvega: the realization that grooved cycles of suffering no longer serve us. We might ask ourselves: What makes me vulnerable to such cycles? How and when were the tracks laid down? We might enter a process of self-inquiry through which we become more our authentic selves, for change takes place in the heart when we grieve harmful circumstances and the adaptations of self we made to get through. In such a movement, we are waking up out of, so it’s the energy of wakefulness that’s active in us, that returns us to authenticity. Wakefulness might be the energy motivating you now to seek out a therapist.
I have wanted to be a counselor from a young age. I received my undergraduate BA degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and my graduate degree M.Ed clinical/ school counseling from the University of Phoenix. I also spent two years studying at the Denver Seminary to learn how to incorporate faith into counseling. I started out as a middle school counselor and also worked as a therapist in a counseling clinic. My passions are parent coaching, helping with anxiety disorders as well as depressive disorders.
I strive to help others strengthen their relationships with their families and themselves. I enjoy supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families through life's challenges. I specialize in family therapy for teens and their parents, as well as adults and their parents.
