Hi, my name is Zach, and I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary’s CACREP accredited program. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, and I work largely with LGBTQ+ individuals, specializing in religious trauma and spirituality, existential distress, eating disorders and body image, relationship issues, and grief and loss.
I am a therapist that welcomes all, humbly, and strives to build community with those I encounter. You are welcome here, however you may be.
Hi, my name is Barb and I have over 35 years of experience treating those with trauma, including child abuse and adults with that in their history, as well as seniors with dementia and alzheimers. I love what I do and enjoy meeting new people. I've been a single mom for many years, having adopted a girl from China as a single parent. I've worked in early childhood and with Adams 12 schools.
I received my master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology, where my previous career in cancer research led me to a focus on health psychology and psychosocial oncology. In addition to addressing chronic health issues such as cancer, I specialize in life transitions and adjustment difficulties, identity issues, anxiety, depression, challenges related to aging, and the many forms of grief and loss.
I work with creative, self-aware adults navigating anxiety & overthinking, grief, ADHD & other neurodivergence, relationship struggles, and major life transitions and reinvention — people in the middle of real change.
Therapy with me is grounded, direct, and collaborative. We slow down enough to understand what’s happening beneath the surface — and then we figure out how to move you forward.
I have a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling and have worked in inpatient rehab, community mental health, and private practice. And I've had several other careers before this: massage therapist, editor and writer, writing instructor, park ranger, all of which inform how I show up as a therapist.
I'm Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist & Supervisor, and am trained in EMDR trauma therapy. I use Synergetic Psychotherapy and Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT) to help clients get real change without spending years in therapy. The average number of SPT sessions is 15!
