As a counselor specializing in children, adolescents, and young adults, I provide a compassionate and culturally responsive space for young clients to explore their emotions, navigate life’s challenges, and build resilience. With a deep understanding of the unique dynamics within South Asian families, I help bridge generational and cultural gaps that often impact mental health, communication, and identity development.
I believe that people are shaped by their relationships and life experiences. I work to create a trusting relationship where we can explore your difficulties and improve your life. Many of the people I work with are quite thoughtful and accomplished but they are not happy. They feel that they could benefit from personal inquiry into the problems of living that they are experiencing. Having complex emotions and struggles is normal. It is an aspect of life. But it’s best not to live with it all alone. We need to express our grief, confusion and fear, and we need someone to listen, to respond and to empathize.
I am an engaging, down to earth therapist with over 35 years experience. I work within several psychotherapeutic modalities that I adapt depending on my client’s needs and character, including psychoanalytic therapy, interpersonal and relational psychotherapy and cognitive/behavioral therapy.
Psychotherapy is a place where it is ok to have your feelings- whatever, as confused, painful or overwhelming as they are. But it’s best not to live with it all alone- it’s best to talk about it, to share it with an ally who can help you to figure it out, move on, and build a happy, productive and enjoyable life. That’s what psychotherapy is all about.
I’m a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work and I have been working in community mental health for more than a decade.
I specialize in helping women, millennials and high achievers with:
I believe that therapy can be a place to be known and understood. My focus is on folks who are looking for support to manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, intergenerational family challenges, and relationships. I work with creatives, people who find themselves in caretaker roles at work or in their relationships who would like to improve their experiences, and people interested in changing self-defeating patterns.
Mental health acts as a lens that shapes how we see and understand our experiences. When we take good care of it, it can make life's challenges feel less overwhelming, helping us to face them more calmly and confidently. As a therapist, I firmly believe that mental health fosters a resilient mindset that promotes self-compassion, acceptance, optimism and hope. With nearly a decade of experience as a practicing therapist, I have supported clients of all ages, ranging from infants and parents to adolescents and adults. My current focus is on helping young adults navigating the pressures of expectations, feeling disconnected from their voice, or uncertain about their next steps. I provide a space where you can fully be yourself.
Hi, I’m Jennifer, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Somatic Therapist, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience helping adults and teens heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and chronic stress or illness.
My work combines body-based, trauma-informed, and creative therapies to help regulate the nervous system, release stored trauma, and rebuild resilience, confidence, and connection.
In our sessions, we may integrate movement, expressive arts, mindfulness, or guided somatic practices to support emotional regulation and transformation—especially when words alone aren’t enough.
If you’re struggling with panic attacks, trauma symptoms, burnout, grief, or relationship stress, therapy can help you find clarity and ease again. You deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported in your healing. Together we’ll create a path toward balance, empowerment, and authentic connection—through the body, creativity, and compassionate care.
(Currently accepting clients in New York and Massachusetts; telehealth and in-person sessions available.)
