Taking the first steps and searching for a therapist to help you on your healing journey is a huge accomplishment! I am currently licensed in NJ and have been working in the field of mental health for about 8 years. I work with teens and adults with anxiety and/or neurodivergent disorders among other areas.
I have been a Social Worker for over 17 years. I have been trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from The Beck Institute in Philadelphia, PA and Marriage and Family Therapy from the Multicultural Family Institute in Highland Park, NJ. I have also been trained in Exposure and Response Prevention to treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I am trained and utilize many other modalities such as guided meditations, sound vibration and energy healing, and emotional freedom technique ("tapping"). I truly believe everyone grows and heals their own way and there is not one perfect formula for anyone.
I believe that we have all the answers inside us and ultimately are our best guides. I look at counseling and therapy as a way to connect you to yourself, so you can begin to heal and trust your own inner wisdom.
When I work with clients I come from a place of no judgement. In our sessions you will feel a safe space to open up and share what you are struggling with. I feel that under all of our pain, shame, guilt and sadness is our REAL selves and working together we can see where all the beliefs came from and start to find your way back to your true self.
I obtained my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. I am certified in Polyvagal Theory

My background is in working with children and young adults with Autism, school-aged children and their families support navigating times of stress, conflict, anger, anxiety and grief. I also have experience working with older adults. I have worked in schools, community-based agencies and residential programs.
In my role as a therapist, I genuinely enjoy getting to know, deeply understanding, and helping others. I recognize that every person is unique, possessing inherent worth and pre-existing strengths, skills, and challenges, and facing genuinely difficult obstacles. Therefore, I meet each person with unconditional positive regard, and open, nonjudgmental curiosity.
I have worked successfully and collaboratively with a diverse range of adults of all ages (including senior citizens and adolescents), couples, and families. This includes those facing ambivalence at a pivotal juncture in life, as well as those struggling with persistent issues, such as depression or other mood disorders; anxiety disorders; ADHD, neurodivergence, and neurodevelopmental disorders; acute and complex trauma; schizophrenia spectrum disorders; addiction and codependency issues; grief and loss; and issues unique to adolescence, aging, women’s experiences, and gender diversity.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Gettysburg College and my Master's in Clinical Social Work at Rutgers University. In addition to my years in private practice, I have benefited from past experiences working in a high school setting, intensive outpatient settings, programs for those with co-occurring mental health and addiction needs, and programs serving those with co-occurring mental health and neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
All people are unique, and all behavior makes sense in its context when thoroughly explored and understood. I look forward to learning each person’s preferences and life experiences, and enjoy collaborating with them for positive change that significantly impacts their life and their future trajectory.
