I have over two decades of Social Work experience. I have worked in high school settings for over 20 years with a variety of students to include: LGBTQ+, anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, ADHD, and teen parenting. Prior to working in the school setting, I worked with homeless families as well as domestic violence victims.
Hi, I’m Victoria Abinader, a neurodivergent Marriage and Family Therapist (yep — I have ADHD!) who’s deeply passionate about helping others better understand themselves, their relationships, and the systems that shape them.
I hold a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and a M.A. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy and my clinical work has been shaped by my own lived experience with mental health, executive dysfunction, and constantly trying to keep up with life.
I offer a compassionate, honest, supportive and tailored approach to individuals and families seeking therapy. I connect with a diverse population of individuals, from all walks of life and varying ages who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma and family conflict.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional who specializes in supporting WOMEN through life’s transitions. I treat ages 18+. My approach combines evidence-based therapy, somatic and nervous system regulation techniques, and a compassionate, client-centered framework. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploring challenges related to anxiety, depression, maternal mental health, relationship distress, career stress, imposter syndrome, and other life transitions.
I focus on helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and develop practical strategies for emotional regulation and personal growth. Whether you’re navigating grief, infertility, ADHD, or major life changes, my goal is to support you in achieving lasting positive change while honoring your unique experiences and values.
Whether you are struggling with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, building intimacy in relationships, responding to emotions, or the stress of being human, it is key to know that you are not alone. I offer a safe and comfortable space to explore these struggles.
By applying a supportive, compassionate, and caring approach clients have the ability to use multiple tools to enhance and maintain their quality of life. As your counselor, my goal is to engage you in co-creating an active treatment plan that is directly related to your identified concerns, issues, and needs. I will guide you through the multiple layers of life's maze that include situations and experiences, feelings and emotions, thoughts, choices, and decision-making. Together we will make progress and strive forward towards your desired outcome.
I provide a supportive yet direct environment that encourages accountability and personal growth. I believe in balancing empathy with honest feedback to help clients gain insight into patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful shifts in their lives. I work focuses on empowering clients to process both past and present challenges while building a stronger sense of self and overall well-being.
