Hello. Thank you for taking the time to invest in your healing and growth today. Whether you’re a newcomer to therapy/counseling or an experienced client, I feel it’s a brave and wonderful thing to do the work of mental-emotional healing. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, stress/anxiety, career challenges, LGBTQ+ related issues, grief and loss and trauma disorder such as PTSD.
I believe therapy should feel comfortable, supportive, and genuine. I am passionate about working with college-aged and young adult women who are navigating self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and major life transitions, including motherhood. Many of my clients are carrying a lot internally while still trying to show up for everyone else, and therapy can be a place to slow down and focus on what you need.
I obtained a Master’s and Doctoral degree in clinical psychology and completed training at Jackson Memorial Hospital with a focus on providing psychology services to medically-compromised patients. I am licensed in the state of Florida and have several years of experience in providing individual therapy in both English and Spanish to adults and older adults who have struggled with a variety of mental health issues.
I have experience providing therapy to individuals in DC for several years. I graduated The Catholic University of America in 2019 with a BS in Psychological & Brain Sciences. I graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2021 with my Masters in Social Work. I hold my LICSW in Washington DC and serve adults with a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress.
I use a four- fold approach to treating beyond traditional psychotherapy to help you on your journey. I have PhD in Clinical psychology, two master's degree (one in community counseling, one in community psychology). I also have a degree in Addictions and one in business management. Having worked every level of care from an inpatient hospital setting, residential long-term care, in a jail, a prison, out-patient levels for intensive three times per week to one time per week and taught in two universities. I am working my favorite level of care on an out-patient setting. Training has been in addictions, mental health, couples and family systems. I have other specialties with chronic pain and nutrition/bariatrics and obesity and available to provide medical and court evaluations with limited testing. I see children from 12 and up and adults/geriatrics.
I’m a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional committed to helping you navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.
