I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Illinois, and can see clients from both states. I have worked with clients in the areas of depression, anxiety, relationships issues, addictions, stress management, sport and performance, bipolar disorder, and binge eating disorder. My therapy style is personable, connected, focused, and attuned.
I have a deep commitment to seeing people flourish in relationship to themselves, and to others. For many of us, we have some sense of what makes relationships great and what makes them terrible. Knowing and experiencing what makes great relationships stronger, and what turns terrible relationships around, is where I can work alongside you. As someone who has been stepped in Attachment science, I love allowing for people to make more coherent sense of their internal world, to build or restore bonds with others.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, where I walk alongside you rather than ahead of you. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, substance use, chronic pain, and life transitions. My background in clinical psychology, along with board certification in biofeedback and neurofeedback, allows me to integrate both psychological and physiological approaches to healing. Most importantly, I deeply respect the uniqueness of your lived experience and strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.
I am a LCSW and AMFT working toward dual licensure in California. I hold two Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and Social Work from the University of Southern California, and I am a proud member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
I’m Lucia Acosta, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate the challenges of anxiety, anger, and life’s complexities. I am bilingual in Spanish and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, share your experiences, and work toward meaningful change. Hi, I’m Erica Thurlow, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in mindfulness and evidence-based practices like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, honoring their unique wiring and building lives aligned with their values.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly 20 years working as a grip/rigging grip in the film industry. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for creativity, high-pressure environments, and the importance of meaningful human connection. I earned my M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Hope International University, where I also trained as an EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist. Whether you're seeking emotional processing, relationship repair, or making peace with your past, we'll work together in cultivating acceptance, empowerment, and change.
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you are navigating a personal shift, strengthening your relationship, or supporting your family through change, I am here to help. With over 20 years in the social service field and practicing as a therapist since 2007, I’ve learned that the right environment is the first step toward healing. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where we can work together to navigate life’s transitions and begin overcoming the obstacles in your path.
I'm the kind of therapist who makes you feel safe the moment you walk into the room. I listen fully, without judgment, and with the attention that makes you feel uderstood. Humor is one of my superpower and I used to make you feel more comfortable. I am direct I won’t sugarcoat what needs to be said. I love to be the kind of therapist who makes healing feel both profound and human.
