Ms. Helen Kuffour is a graduate from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Where she obtained her master’s and her post-master’s. She is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has over 15 years of nursing experience across variety of setting including, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities.

Her attentive listening and compassionate nature are great qualities in caring for her patients.

As a board-certified, doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner, I treat a variety of mental health disorders using medication management as well as can incorporate psychotherapy within the session based on situational necessity. My focus is across the lifespan, including children and adolescents.

I believe mental health care works best when it feels like a partnership. I take time to listen, understand your experiences, and involve you in every step of your treatment plan. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, heard, and supported while we work together to find the right tools and strategies to help you feel more stable, confident, and hopeful about the future.

Laura is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience in mental health care. She earned her Master’s degree with honors from Rowan University, and her clinical background includes inpatient work at a Neuroscience Behavioral Health facility as well as at the well-respected Dunn Behavioral Health Center. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan—children, adolescents, adults, and seniors—addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. Her approach centers on providing compassionate, holistic, and collaborative care. She believes that mental health is a vital part of overall well-being and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. She works closely with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. With extensive experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and more, she is passionate about helping clients find hope, resilience, and renewed vitality. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Rush University in Chicago, IL and received my Psychiatric specialization from National University in San Diego CA. I have my national board certification through the ANCC and have trained in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient psychiatry, integrated primary care, and crisis intervention services.
